2019 Palma Match and Long Range Practice

PALMA MATCH BULLETIN
FIRING WILL COMMENCE AT 8:30 a.m.

RULES: Current NRA rules will govern the conduct of the match. (Pertinent NRA rules will apply for use of electronic targets.)
ELIGIBILITY: NRA membership is not required to compete in NRA sanctioned matches, although it is strongly encouraged.
RIFLES ALLOWED: Palma Rifle – Rule 3.3.1(a) & (b); F-Class- Rule 3.4 (a), (b). Note: The Service Rifles M14 or civilian equivalent and M16/M110 or civilian equivalent with iron sights fall within rules 3.3.1(a) and (b). The M1 Garand Service rifle when chambered for the .308 Winchester or 7.62mm NATO cartridge. Iron sights only are allowed on all rifles.
No compensators or muzzle brakes allowed – Rule 3.16.1
AMMUNITION: Ammunition of any description that may be fired without danger to competitors or range personnel.
TARGETS: LR and LR-CF. (Electronic targets will be used.)
CLASSIFICATION: NRA Long Range/F-Class classification cards, or temporary score books are required.
CATEGORIES: Minimum of 5 shooters required to form a class/category.
SQUADDING: At Statistical Office commencing at 7:30 a.m.
Prepaid entries will be squadded first. Entries made by telephone cannot be guaranteed.
Competitors are required to check in by 8:15 a.m.
Entries end at 8:20 a.m. the day of the match and are restricted to the first 40 paid competitors.

GENERAL: Competitors will be required to serve as score keepers. The Match Director is authorized to reduce the match in shots fired or distance due to range conditions. Refunds will not be provided once the match has commenced.

DEPOSIT: $10.00 deposit received prior to the match will hold entry. Shooter should call prior to match date to confirm receipt. Deposit may be forfeited if shooter fails to notify club of cancellation prior to match date.
AWARDS: Awards will be given in each category and class. Awards will be given to each multiple of 5 competitors in each category. Competitors may not win more than one award in each match. Classes and/or categories will be combined at the discretion of the match director.
ENTRY FEE: $30.00
CHALLENGES: $2.00 per challenge LOST.

PRACTICE DATE: Practice firing will be available for individuals, up to range capacity, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
CAMPING SPACE: Available at the range. Electrical connection is available.
COURSE OF FIRE:
STAGE #1: 800 yd. slow fire, unlimited sighters, 15 rounds for record. Time: 22 min.
STAGE #2: 900 yd. slow fire, 2 sighters, 15 rounds for record. Time: 22 min.
STAGE #3: 1000 yd. slow fire, 2 sighters, 15 rounds for record. Time: 22 min.
Palma Match: Aggregate of stages 1 – 3.
Practice: Individuals will be able to practice along with the Palma Match competitors, up to range capacity. Palma Match competitors will have priority for available target positions.
